What Are The Superleague Championship Ramifications?

· Uncategorized · By GPVWC Editorial Team

Superleague comes to a conclusion tonight under the lights at Abu Dhabi. We briefly discuss the relevant outcomes for the driver’s championship.

After a controversial round at Brazil, that saw Jarl Teien DNF due to contact with Sandeep Singh, it’s advantage Meunier for the 2025 title. He’s been incredibly consistent this year, scoring points in every round he’s participated and only finishing outside the top 10 once; at the rain-affected Canada round. With 7 podiums to his name, Loic is in the driving seat to continue that form at Abu Dhabi.

However, Jarl Teien of THR will be doing everything he can to take that title from under the Frenchman’s nose.

– With the gap currently 16 points, Teien will need to at least score 3rd position (16 points), with Loic DNFing or not scoring. Teien will then win on countback, as he has 3 wins to Loic’s 2.

– If Teien finishes in P2, then Meunier needs to finish in 11th or better to secure the title. 12th or lower is not good enough.

– If Teien wins, then Meunier needs P6 or better.

Of course, any non-podium finish for Jarl give the title to Loic.

Will there be more controversy? Will the satellite teams for both camps (TOP v THR) cause further chaos at Abu Dhabi? Time will tell.

Let’s hope for a fair and even fight between the protagonists tonight.
